Hidden message QR code generator

A hidden message QR code is a QR code whose payload is the message itself. There is no landing page and no short link. Point a phone camera at it and the secret text appears on the screen.

How to hide a message in a QR code

1. Type the note you want the scanner to read. Keep it under 1,200 characters; shorter is easier to scan from a print.
2. Leave error correction on H (about 30% recovery) unless you need a denser code.
3. Download the PNG and print or share it. The SVG is there if you need a vector.

What happens when someone scans it

iPhone Camera and Android camera apps treat a text QR as a snippet, not a link. They show the hidden message. They do not open simplecaseconverter.com. If you want the scan to open a website, encode a URL on the QR code generator instead.

Print and scan tips

• Use the PNG, not a screenshot of a tiny on-screen code.
• Keep a white quiet zone around the modules. Do not crop to the black squares.
• Do not stretch the image. Scale it uniformly.
• Test with a phone before you tape the code to a gift or a wall.

High error correction is the default so a crease, a bit of glare, or a slightly small print still reads.
